Mueen Uddin received his PhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia UTM in 2013. He has around 15 years of Research and Teaching experience in the domains of Data and Cybersecurity, Blockchain and Security of Cyber-Physical Systems. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor of Data and Cybersecurity at the University of Doha for Science and Technology Qatar. His research interests include AI-enabled Cyber Security Challenges, with a particular emphasis on areas such as Internet-of-Things (IoT), Blockchain, Metaverse, Security and Privacy in Cyber-Physical systems, NFT, and Healthcare-related security issues and challenges. I have made significant contributions to the field, as evidenced by the publication of more than 30 papers in Q1 ISI Journals. These papers have been well-received and have garnered extensive citations, with a Google Citation of 3003 and an H index of 28, as well as a Scopus Citation of 1830 and an H index of 22.
Mueen has developed an excellent track record of research and academic leadership, including the development, management, and implementation of various funded projects supported by agencies in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Brunei Darussalam. Dr Mueen has received several prestigious international research awards and recognitions, notably the “Best Researcher Award” from the Dean College of Engineering at Effat University Jeddah KSA in 2019, Expert Peer-Review Research Proposals at “The National Center of Scientific and Technical Evaluation (NCSTE) in Kazakhstan”, Scientific Committee Chair for the 16th Learning & Technology Conference “Machine Learning: Intelligence is Power” at Effat University KSA in 2019. Received Grant from Universiti Brunei Darussalam “UBD/RSCH/1.18/FICBF(a)/2022/003” as (PI) from August 2021- May 2022, received Grant from Universiti Brunei Darussalam UBD/RSCH/1.4.FICBF(a)/2021/010 as PI) from April 2021 – December 2021, best Faculty award from APU Malaysia in 2014, serving as a postgraduate examiner for various Phd and Master's dissertations in Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and Brunei Darussalam. Dr. Mueen has co-authored around 148 prestigious journal papers in highly cited journals and conferences.
