ABDUL QAYYUM currently works at the NTFP Nilore, Islamabad, National Tokamak Fusion Program, PO Box 3329 Islamabad. Abdul does research in Plasma Physics, Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics and Experimental Physics. Their current project is to develop plasma diagnostics for spherical tokamak, especially spectroscopic and Langmuir probe diagnostics at 'National Tokamak Fusion Program (NTFP). The following assignments have been completed so far:

• Development of triple Langmuir probe with necessary circuit for plasma measurements in pulse discharges
• Development of emissive probe with necessary circuit for direct measurement of plasma potential in the edge tokamak region
• Optical emission spectroscopy of GLAST-III plasma and spectral analysis for impurity concentration and relative emission intensities
• Development of line of sight optical system for spatial movement of ECR layer in GLAST-III using light sensitive photodiodes
• Development of sweep Langmuir probe with necessary circuit for time-resolved plasma measurements in pulse discharges
• Development of rake probe and ball pen probe for plasma measurements
