Kevin N. Nwaigwe is a specialist in Energy and Power Engineering and conducts his research in topics within renewable energy engineering particularly biomass technology and solar energy. His secondary area of research interest is in design of energy systems. He has authored several articles and holds a patent in waste heat recovery refrigerator. He has supervised over 9 graduate students including PhD and master's. He has served as external examiner to various institutions including University of Cape Town, South Africa.

A short course on installation and deployment of solar water heaters, March 2 – 4 2020. Attendees include solar thermal companies from the industry, government agencies, academics and interested individuals.
