"REFRIGERATOR WASTE HEAT RECOVERY"
To utilize waste heat from refrigerator for useful purposes
Development of a hybrid dryer for sliced vegetables
The hybrid dryer consists of a solar and an electric heat components with electronically measuring instruments for temperatures, humidities and air flow rates as well as the amounts of energies from both the solar and the electric sources of energy. Two varieties of each of okra, tomato and pepper at four different slice sizes and five air flow rates will be used to test the developed hybrid dryer. We would monitor the dryer performance and determine the optimum parameters to give the best energy requirement for the drying of each of the vegetables.
